Studio headphones are provide a more accurate and detailed sound for music production. Rather than being tuned to certain frequencies, they are flat across the audio spectrum so you can hear the mix exactly as it is.

Studio headphones are designed to deliver you crystal clear sounds, which are to be expected, as these will be high-end headphones. Whilst the level of quality is going to vary between person to person, based on needs and budget, there are several factors that make a great studio headphone, that will be prevalent in all price ranges. But Rather than being tuned to certain frequencies, they are flat across the audio spectrum so you can hear the mix exactly as it is.

One of these will be the comfort aspect, every pair of Studio headphones will have taken this into account, as its quite clear that there is going to be prolonged use of them, and it will really be a major mark against any pair if they do not feel good to wear for the user. An ideal level of comfort will usually come from a lightweight headphone that will have a good level of foam padding in the cups, possibly along with a strip on the headband.

You will also need to consider the portability of them, although on the whole this is another thing that the makers will have pinpointed as a major design aspect to cater for, and we have a good range of headphones that fold down nicely into a smaller carry case. To run parallel to this, to keep them in good condition and to ensure that there durability is not stretched unnecessarily, then a good case for them will help stop any incidents happening.

Along with all this, whether they are open or closed/sealed headphones is something that you definitely need to consider. We are able to provide you with either type, and will again just boil down to preference. Open-air headphones are ideal if you are going to be using them for an extended period of time, while semi open headphones are an hybrid of both Open and Closed back headphones. They are a great choice for studio headphones due to a wide variety of impressive functionalities, including low frequency response and excellent stereo field. Closed headphones are ideal if you are going to have a lot of noise pollution that you need to keep out whilst in use.

There are of course, many other features to consider, and should you need any more information please don’t hesitate to contact us on 0121 224 7650/7655.
