Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 brings Hi-Res audio to the DJ Booth

Perhaps the biggest headline-grabbing feature of the CDJ-2000 Nexus 2, is the support for Hi-Res audio playback; Pioneer has endowed the CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 with an upgraded audio architecture, including a 24bit/96kHz audio interface for pristine audio. Recording engineers and high-end audiophiles have enjoyed the benefits of 24bit/96kHz audio for many years, hence it's only timely that professional DJ's are now offered similar quality audio playback. To make the most of the higher resolution sound card and specification, Pioneer has also included support for FLAC and Apple Lossless audio files. The real world benefit of these tweaks to the audio specification, result in a player with the highest audio quality of any hardware CDJ type deck in the world. The Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 brings Hi-Res audio to the DJ Booth and the dancefloor, with the quality you'd expect from Pioneer.

Improved interface for easy performances

Included in the latest revision, is a new, larger, multicolour touchscreen with an integrated querty keyboard function. This revision makes searching through folders and menus much quicker and intuitive; ideal for finding a song in a hurry mid-set in a darkened DJ booth. The Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus 2 also adds additional hot cues, which are accessed via the front panel "hot cue" buttons. The 8 hot cues (twice those of the previous model) are stored in two banks of four cues, which are accessed via a "bank select" button. Not enough cue points still? Then connect the Pioneer DDJ-SP1 for even greater enhancement of the real-time performance capabilities of this already hugely impressive player.

Ethernet Networking and Rekordbox integration

There's nothing to stop a DJ enjoying the powerful features of the Pioneer CDJ-2000 Nexus 2 with traditional, CD-based playback. All the functionality you've come to expect from CD playback over generations of CDJ players is there for the taking. Where a modern, flagship digital deck like this shines, is in its integration of digital files and networking; Integration with other Nexus Pioneer CDJ products such as the DJM-900NXS, is breathtaking, thanks to Pioneer's "Pro DJ Link" networking. Pioneer cdj 2000nxs2 and djm 900nxs2 Pro DJ Link allows all supported equipment, to "talk" to each other over a LAN connection; by connecting your decks, mixer etc via a network hub, you can access music stored on a network device. Arrange and assign your cues at home using a laptop, and then bring your USB drive to the club, ready to go.
